Four tools futures prop firm traders use most: charting, a journal and trade copiers. For each one: what it does, its prices as shown on its own pricing page on Oct 5, 2026, and one honest paragraph. Prices change; the tool's own page is final.

TradingViewCharting
A charting platform with market data, screeners and alerts. Several prop firms let you place trades from TradingView charts through a connected broker platform (for example Tradovate).
Our take: Most traders can start on the free plan. Pay only if you need more indicators per chart, more saved layouts or intraday data the free plan limits. Check that your prop firm's platform connects to TradingView before you pay.
| Basic | $0 | free, no credit card needed |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | $12.95/mo | billed annually, labelled "Special price" |
| Plus | $29.95/mo | billed annually, labelled "Special price" |
| Premium | $59.95/mo | billed annually, labelled "Special price" |
Monthly-billing prices were not shown in the view we read; the paid prices are TradingView's annual "Special price" offer and may change.
TradingView's partner program page says: "Your audience gets a $15 discount on their next plan, once they've bought their first." Source

TradeZellaTrading journal
A trading journal: it logs your trades, builds a plan and reviews each session, with backtesting.
Our take: A journal helps you see which setups lose money before a drawdown rule does. A spreadsheet does the basics for free; a paid journal saves time once you trade several accounts.
| Essential | $35/mo | billed monthly ($26/mo billed yearly, $315/year) |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $59/mo | billed monthly ($44/mo billed yearly, $531/year) |
| Ultra | $99/mo | billed monthly ($74/mo billed yearly, $891/year) |
No free plan or free trial was shown on the pricing page.
TradesyncerTrade copier
A cloud trade copier with journaling and risk tools, built for funded futures traders. Its pricing page names Apex, Lucid, Topstep, Tradeify and MFFU among supported firms, and Tradovate, Rithmic and NinjaTrader among platforms.
Our take: Copying is allowed only under each firm's own rules, usually between your own accounts. Check the copy trading column of our rules table before you connect accounts.
| Basic | $49/mo | billed monthly; 2 connections, 10 accounts per connection |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $99/mo | billed monthly; 4 connections, 20 accounts per connection |
| Flex | $149/mo | billed monthly; unlimited connections, 120 accounts included |
7-day free trial, card required, charged on day 7. Annual billing is offered at checkout ("saves up to 30%"); yearly prices are not shown on the page.
TradecopiaTrade copier
A futures trade copier that copies orders from one account to others in real time across Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic and TopstepX.
Our take: Same rule as any copier: the prop firm decides whether copying is allowed and between which accounts. A desktop copier stops when your computer is off; the web and VPS plans keep running.
| Pro (desktop app) | $49.99/mo | billed monthly ($34.99/mo billed every 3 months, $104.98) |
|---|---|---|
| Pro+ Lite (web) | $79.99/mo | billed monthly ($59.99/mo billed every 3 months, $179.98) |
| Pro+ (dedicated VPS) | $119.99/mo | billed every 3 months ($359.98) |
7-day free trial on Pro and Pro+ Lite; Pro+ has no trial. Prices in USD.
Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss. Prop firm evaluations are paid products; most traders do not pass. Not financial advice.
Tool questions
Do I need a paid tool to pass a prop firm evaluation?
No. Every firm we track gives you a trading platform, and TradingView has a free plan. A journal or a trade copier saves time; it does not change the rules you have to meet.
Can I use a trade copier on a prop firm account?
Only where the firm allows it, and usually only between your own accounts. Each firm's rule, with its source and date, is in the copy trading column of our rules table.
Which of these links are affiliate links?
TradingView. The other links are plain links: we earn nothing from them. Prices and our take are written the same way for every tool.
Before you buy a tool, check the firm's own rules: copy trading and bots by firm, platforms by firm.
