How the score works
Only your answers and our published data decide the order. Questions you leave at "no preference" or "any" add no points. The account size decides which plans count: a firm with no plan we show at that size is not ranked. For each firm we take its cheapest plan at your size by true cost to first payout (only EOD plans when you ask for EOD and the firm has one).
- Budget: +3 points if the firm's cheapest true cost to first payout at your size (no failed attempts) is within your budget.
- Swing: +3 points if overnight holding allowed (1.5 if allowed with conditions), from the rules table.
- News: +3 points if news trading allowed at every stage (1.5 with conditions), from the rules table.
- Scalper: +2 points if no rule in our data that limits very short trades (micro- or tick-scalping rules).
- EOD drawdown: +3 points if the firm has a plan with EOD drawdown at your size (that plan is then the one shown).
- Fast payouts: +2 points if daily payouts on at least one plan in our data.
- Platform: +2 points if your platform is on the firm's published platform list.
Ties go to the lower true cost, then the firm name. Partner status, commissions and codes play no part. True cost comes from the true cost calculator (no failed attempts, one month); rules from the rules table, where every value shows its source and check date.
Quiz questions
How does the prop firm quiz pick firms?
Each answer adds points only from data published on this site: true cost to first payout, drawdown type per plan, platforms, payout speed and the rules table. The three firms with the most points are shown; ties go to the lower true cost. Partner status is not used.
Why is a firm missing from my results?
A firm is only ranked at an account size where we show at least one plan. Firms without a verified price show "Not verified" instead of a guessed cost.
Is the quiz result financial advice?
No. It is a shortlist from published rules and prices. Read the firm's current rules and compare the plans side by side before you buy.
How many firms does the quiz compare?
14 futures prop firms, with 177 plan and size combinations.
